Founding Deployment Strategist

Sundial is looking for their first deployment strategist. As a founding member of this team, you will help us chart a path through from the hunter-gatherer jungles of founder-led operating rhythm to the smooth, well-irrigated operations of a thriving village.

Do you…

  1. Have 3+ years in a business leverage role or in a primary front-facing deployment role responsible for bridging customer’s strategic needs with product innovation.

  2. Strong strategist, know how to blend technical problem-solving, have analytical depth and business impact with customer engagement.

  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineers, Product Designers, data scientists) to deliver solutions to high-impact, real-world problems.

  4. Self-assess as a data-driven problem-solver who can wrangle messy datasets, uncover hidden trends, and turn analysis into action?

    1. Are you fluent with data tools such as Excel, Tableau, Looker, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hex, etc?

    2. Do you have experience serving analytical customers and anticipating their needs, for example with modeling metrics, doing root cause analysis, scenario modeling, risk assessment, etc?

  5. Feel powerful surges of dopamine from Getting Shit Done, even in a) ambiguous situations b) new situations c) situations where no one is telling you precisely what to do?

  6. Our US team works in person in the Bay Area Peninsula.

What will you do?

  • Work directly with founders, data, engineering and product teams

  • Join customer conversations led by our founding team

  • Engage with customers onsite to understand key questions, pinpoint pain points, and scope opportunity areas

  • Coordinate prospective client relationships and track engagement progress

  • Develop playbooks for customer engagement and success

  • Translate complex capabilities into clear business value

  • Bridge field insights with product and engineering teams, embedding real-world learnings back into Sundial’s offerings
