About this role

As an Account Executive at Sundial, you will drive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.

This is not a classic “lone wolf” sales role — you’ll partner closely with our founders and forward-deployed data scientists, engineers, and designers to sell transformation, not just a BI tool.

To date, our founders have led all sales directly. We’re now looking for our first AE to help us scale. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor, work hand-in-hand with the founding team and shape the company’s go-to-market playbook.

What You’ll Do

Own the Sales Process

  • Run discovery calls, deliver tailored demos, and manage proposals through to contract negotiation and close.

  • Drive deals from initial conversation to close, with guidance and mentorship from the founders.


Build and Grow Pipeline

  • Prospect into target enterprise accounts through outbound outreach, events, and networking.

  • Qualify inbound leads to ensure focus on the highest-potential opportunities.


Build the Sales Playbook

  • Document messaging, objection handling, and best practices.

  • Help establish CRM workflows, pipeline stages, and reporting.

  • Turn founder-led instincts into repeatable, scalable GTM processes.


Close the Loop with Product and Customers

  • Ensure successful onboarding and adoption in partnership with our customer success and product teams.

  • Gather feedback and share insights with forward-deployed product scientists to inform roadmap and solution design.


Support and Scale Founder-led Sales

  • Shadow sales calls with founders and follow up with prospects to keep deals progressing.

  • Take ownership of SMB and mid-market deals while supporting founders on strategic enterprise accounts.

  • Learn and eventually lead the full pitch, demo, and objection-handling cycle.

What We’re Looking For


  • 2–5 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales (experience in analytics, data, or AI tools a plus).

  • Passionate about analytics and how data transforms decision-making.

  • Strong communicator who builds trust quickly with technical and business audiences.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity — you’ll be building the process while executing it.

  • Self-starter with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality.

  • Coachable, curious, and eager to learn from the founding team.

  • Excited to shape the DNA of a sales organization from the ground up.
